A city for all seasons

Home of the Habsburgs, the capital of classical music, and the multicultural melting pot of Mitteleuropa, Vienna is one of Europe’s most fascinating cities. Its slow-paced life, architectural variety, and intensely seasonal cultural and gastronomic pleasures make Vienna an ideal destination for visitors. Get ready for balmy summer evenings at wine taverns, mugs of mulled wine at Christmas markets, and strolls through historic streets.

My favorite spot in Vienna’s second district. A great café to savor a delish Middle Eastern breakfast (hummus, lebneh, goat milk cheese, cucumbers, radishes, cherry tomatoes, pomegranate, olives, and pita bread) with lovely lounge-ish music in the background.

Georgian food, love it!

Georgian delicacies in the heart of Vienna Editors' Note

Where else in Vienna can you enjoy the traditional Georgian breakfast Adscharisches Khatschapuri? Cafe Ansari is your only bet, but the restaurant is famous for more than Georgian cuisine. It’s the hip and convivial atmosphere that makes this place so popular.

Not that you ever need to worry about getting tired of local Viennese cuisine, but trying fusion alternatives for a change cannot hurt. Plus, Cafe Ansari has a cozy outside dining area, where you can bring a date in warm summer evenings.
