Famous Part of the Gradec defence system

Part of the Gradec defence system Editors' Note

Having the shape of a rectangular tower and dating back from the 13th century, Kamenita Vrata is one of the best preserved monuments in the old part of Zagreb.

Also known as the Stone Gate, the altar houses a valuable statue of Our Lady of the Stone Gate, which remained intact after the great fire in the 18th century. The entrance is an arched door, impressive but welcoming.
